Talent Placement Specialist
The Talent Placement Specialist (TPS) intern is focused on surfacing and evaluating quality Information Technology candidates, confirming their certifications, and assessing their on-the-job key accomplishments. Interns are also focused on placing candidates in open roles at client companies seeking specialized talent.
RespoNsibilities:
- Connect with candidates
- Invite candidates to complete a candidate profile questionnaire
- Verify candidate’s employment, military background, education, and certifications
- Enter data into WorldBridge’s CRM system
Qualifications:
- Applied for SkillBridge and received verbal or written permission to participate
- 3-6 months of availability to complete the internship
- Cheerful outlook, willingness to “pick up the phone,” and customer advocacy
- Excellent verbal and questioning communication skills
- Research and database skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or a related field such as communications, psychology, IT/IS, or business administration
* Without a bachelor’s degree, 2+ years of on-the-job recruiting experience is necessary - IT experience or cyber certifications is a plus
- Military recruiting experience is a plus
This internship position offers formal training and mentorship, with eligibility to be hired as a full-time Executive Search Consultant.
The Executive Search Consultant is responsible for making placements of qualified cybersecurity talent in DoD subcontractors and companies requiring cybersecurity talent in the Virginia, DC, and Maryland area. Since there are 16 other WorldBridge Partner (WBP) offices nationwide, they may have an opportunity to report to other WBP offices on a case-by-case basis.

Cyber Career Architect CounSelor
The Cyber Career Architect Counselor (CCAC) internship will lead potential candidates interested in furthering their education and training in cyber risk management. CCACs are the first people to connect with prospective students and discuss their educational and career goals. They also work with a variety of departments across SCIPP and Old Dominion University to ensure that these potential students are coached, mentored, and guided through the pipeline from admissions to enrollment.
RespoNsibilities:
- Market SCIPP’s cybersecurity certification programs to potential students
- Host information sessions, attend career fairs, and co-present at various SCIPP-sponsored webinars
- Guide potential students through their educational journey
- Match students to the cybersecurity certificate program that best suites their career goals
- Manage the enrollment process of potential applicants
Qualifications:
- Applied for SkillBridge and received verbal or written permission to participate
- 3-6 months of availability to complete the internship
- Excellent communication and engagement skills
- Excellent customer advocacy
- Ability to successfully convert potential leads into applicants and enrollees
- Ability to implement recruitment strategies and outreach efforts to ensure enrollment goals are met
- Understanding and applying federal laws, regulations, policies, and procedures (FERPA / GDPR) related to student privacy, discrimination, and equal opportunity
- Ability to support potential students in the successful completion and submission of applications and related materials
- Develop and administer recruitment strategies that align with SCIPP branding goals
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as business administration, marketing, or education
- Master’s degree in business, human resources, or a related field such as communications or psychology is a plus
- Experience working with student services and higher education, preferably in admissions or the registrar’s office is a plus
- Computer and database literate (CRM and other supportive databases)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Sharp record-keeping skills with attention to detail
